Interview Preparation: If your supervisor asks you to do something that you disagree with, what would you do?  Sample 2 – Mid Level

I can’t provide an answer without knowing the details of situation and what exactly is being asked.

There are few things which I will never do. For example- Illegal or unethical things; things against nation or company policy. 

There are some trivial things I will bend and do without much fuss: For example – format of a report. If my manager asks to make reports in 3 formats and I feel 1 is enough. I will do in 3 because he must have a reason.

There are few crucial things I will negotiate and convince my manager the best way – For example - I see a risk which my manager does not. I will find ways to convince him and show him the actual risk. I will provide more convincing material. I may ask help from a college to make him understand.
