Interview Preparation: Tell me about a time when you dealt with pressure. Sample 2 – Mid Level
I have gone through such situations several times. Most recent is last year where one of our customers suddenly did a change in scope. He wanted lot of things just in few weeks. Denying his demands were not an option. We had our risk management in place and we triggered one of our risk management strategies. We reprioritized project and rotated the team in a very short span of time. Sprints were scraped and we started a fresh sprint. Communication was the key. We communicated stakeholders in time with right words. Another customer agreed for delay whereas we expedited delivery of the lead customer. In a matter of few weeks, everything was normal.
I am generally not afraid of pressure because I always keep my risk management in place. It is also a matter of habit; I always go little early to airport so to avoid any last-minute hassles.
