Interview Preparation: Tell me about a time when you made a mistake?

The Interviewer: 

He wants to elicit 

-  Do you even accept that you made a mistake?

-  Do you remember the mistake easily?

-  Did you make the same mistake again.

-  Did you learn your lesson.

The Applicant:

- Say that you have made mistakes few times. 

- Do not speak about personal mistakes, include only professional mistakes.

- Speak about the lesson learnt and emphasize you never made the same mistake again.

- Use STAR (Situation, Task, Action, and Result).

- Do not forgot to sell yourself; mistake has made you a better person.

- Be ready for cross questions so be as truthful.
